Paragon Singers

Paragon Singers is a mixed choir which focuses on major choral/orchestral works along with shorter choral gems both old and new. Lars Kaario is director.

Paragon means “a person or thing regarded as a perfect example of a particular quality”. Founded and directed by Lars Kaario, Paragon Singers is a mixed, intermediate level choir that makes wonderful music – a perfect example of community, love and beauty. We focus on major choral/orchestral works along with shorter choral gems both old and new. Our inaugural season in 2021-2022 ended with back to back nearly sold out performances of Mozart’s Requiem and Orff’s Carmina Burana. Our second season ended with a tour of Salzburg, Vienna, and Prague, including singing as a guest choir at The Dome in Salzburg.

The 2023-2024 season is full of exciting music with Handel’s Messiah in December and a concert of the rarely performed Baroque gems, Handel’s Dixit Dominus and J.S. Bach’s Christ Lag in Todesbanden. We still have openings for singers, especially tenors and basses. Singers are expected to have previous choral experience and a short, informal audition is required; all voice types are welcome.
